Douglas W. Strong

Douglas W. Strong of Quincy, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 6, 2024, he was 71. The beloved husband of 28 years to Sandra Sacchetti Strong. Brother of John Strong and his wife Cathleen of Shelburne, MA, James Strong of NH and Jeff Strong of Woburn. Doug is also survived by many nieces, nephews and in laws. Doug worked at U Freight as a shipper for many years before taking a position at Stop & Shop where he worked in the deli for more than 20 years, He was an avid sports fan and coached swimming at the YMCA for many years. Doug truly loved his wife Sandy and together shared many trips to Aruba, where they created so many special memories.

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Monday Nov. 11, 2024 from 9:30-11am in Holy Trinity Parish in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1015 Sea St. Quincy, followed by the  Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doug may be made to the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation, c/o Heath Equity International  40 Glen Avenue, Newton, MA 02459.
