Edith “Edie” (King) Wallace - 59, of Quincy, MA, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
The devoted wife of 35 years to Leroy Wallace of Quincy, cherished mother of Jessica Wallace of Quincy, Leroy Wallace Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Abington, Christopher Wallace and his girlfriend Kearah of Quincy, and the late Jennifer Wallace whom she is now reunited with in Heaven.
Edie was born on September 10, 1966, in Boston, MA, to her late parents, Arthur and Elizabeth (Horton) King. She is survived by her siblings Betty Lou Applegate, Ann Marie Chisholm, Arthur "Tiger" King, Gordon King, Matthew King, and the late Jacqueline Lopez. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Eloise and Violet—all of whom will miss her dearly.
Family meant absolutely everything to Edie. The love she and Roy shared for their family turned their house into a home—a warm, welcoming place for all who entered. Edie also took great pride in her cooking. She found joy in preparing meals that brought everyone together, especially during the holidays. Some of her fondest memories were family trips to Nantasket Beach and annual getaways to Point Sebago, ME. Edie also enjoyed crafting, home improvement projects (often with HGTV playing in the background), bingo nights, card games, and time spent with her dogs. Her unmistakable “LEROOOYY!!… CHRISTOPHAAAH!!… DINNNNAAAH!!!” shout that she yelled from the front porch when dinner was ready is a sound that will always be remembered in the neighborhood.
While those few things reflect parts of who Edie was, her greatest joys in life were undoubtedly her husband Roy, her children, and grandchildren.
