Dwyer, Edward L. "Ed" "Eddie" of Marshfield, MA, formerly of Quincy, MA on April 12, 2026.

Beloved husband and best friend of Patricia A. (Owens) for 59 years. He was also the devoted father of Mark Dwyer, his wife, Diane, of Marshfield, and the loving grandfather (Popi) of Jillian Dwyer. He was the son of the late John and Vera Dwyer and the brother of the late Arlene Barba and her husband, Michael; Doris Dillon and her husband Ray; Jackie and Michael Dwyer. He was the loving uncle of Tracy Alberti and her husband, Scott; Greg Dillon, and his wife Sue; Tara Dillon; Jeff Dillon; Kimberly Canney and her husband Paul; Alicia Rawson and her husband, Michael; Michael Barba, Jr. and his wife Annie; and many grand nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Quincy High School, Class of 1957, he proudly served five years as a Radar Operator with the United States Air Force in Nevada, Germany and Spain, and was honorably discharged in 1962. He worked for Verizon for 40 years as a Lineman and as a Special Services Technician. Over the years, Ed continued playing hockey and softball in Quincy. His most memorable game was when he had a home run off of the famous softball pitcher, Eddie Feigner, of the King and His Court. He was an avid golfer, and skier, and enjoyed traveling with his wife to Aruba and Florida. He was also a volunteer with his wife at the William B. Rice Eventide Home in Quincy and South Weymouth. Ed was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather and will always be remembered by his family and friends for his compassion, generosity and sense of humor.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 4/26/2026 from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday 4/27/2026 at 10 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations may be made in his memory to Brigham & Women's Hospital, Cardiovascular Division, 70 Francis Street, Boston, MA 02115.
