Eileen Frances Rayne (Reilly) of Rockland, formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was 80.
She was born in Brighton to Elizabeth T. (McHale) and Patrick J. Reilly. She grew up in Brighton and graduated from St. Columbkille High School. After graduating she went to work at John Hancock Insurance for a few years before meeting Michael Kirwin Rayne. The two were married and had 4 children. She loved being a mother and lived for time spent with her grandchildren. Once her children were grown, she returned to the workforce as a medical records clerk and dedicated many years to Dermatology Associates before retiring.
Eileen spent her winters with her beloved husband, Michael, in Summerfield, Florida, but each spring, she eagerly returned to Quincy to watch the storms roll over Wollaston Beach. This became a favorite tradition that brought her peace and joy. She cherished the company of her friends and often brought people together for dinners and laughter-filled evenings. A devoted matriarch and loyal friend, Eileen possessed a quiet strength that was beautifully balanced by her sharp wit and warm sense of humor.
Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Michael Kirwin Rayne. Devoted mother to Michael K. Rayne and his wife Kristen of Quincy, Kim Marie Moran and her late husband Bernie of Pembroke, James P. Rayne and his wife Wendy of Westport, and Stephen Rayne of Rockland. Adoring grandmother to Stephen Moran, Jordan Moran, Daniel Moran, Joelle Rayne, Daniel Rayne, Connor Rayne and Griffin Rayne. Loving sister to Patricia Clifford of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth T. (McHale) and Patrick J. Reilly, and siblings Rev. Thomas J. Reilly, Maureen E. Reilly, James Reilly, and Theresa O’Donnell.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday, October 10, 2025, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
