Elaine M. (Murphy) Anderson, of Quincy, formerly of South Boston ("Southie"), passed away peacefully at her home on February 26, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of the late Timothy and Helen Murphy, and the devoted wife of William C. Anderson of Quincy and the late Robert Cuddyer. Loving mother of Cheryl Melanson and her husband John of Quincy, and Robert Cuddyer Jr. of Florida, and his late wife Sheryl. She was the cherished sister of Louise Sherbertes of Plymouth and Timothy Murphy, Jr. of Norwell.

Elaine was a proud and loving Nanna to Scott, Joshua, Kara, Kayla, Michael, Bobby, Jared, Brandon, and Shianne, and is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Elaine was very proud of her Southie roots. She spent many years working as a beloved waitress at Sonny's in Dorchester, where she worked for over 20 years and was known for her kindness and warm heart. She truly loved helping and taking care of others. She especially enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard, and loved shopping in the Black Dog stores. Elaine had a deep love for animals and was a supporter of dog rescues. She was a devoted dog mom to her beloved fur-baby Sweeper, and requested that his ashes be buried with her. Elaine also loved collecting and creating jewelry, writing, and singing. Above all else, family was everything to her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday March 19, 2026 from 4-7pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11am in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elaine may be made to Quincy Animal Shelter, 99 Quarry Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
