Elaine C. McArdle

McArdle, Elaine C. of Quincy, died December 3, 2024. 

Elaine adored her family and friends. She enjoyed sailing, golf, and traveling, especially to Europe and Hawaii. Elaine was a very active member and former secretary of the Squantum Yacht Club. She graduated from UMass Boston with a degree in English. She was the Postmaster in Bellingham and Abington and had worked for the Post Office since she was 18 years old. Elaine was a hard worker and a dedicated employee. She was an active, intelligent, warm, and kind woman. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Daughter of the late Francis and Marjorie McArdle. Beloved partner of 46 years to Robert Bernardinelli. Loving sister of Joan Cleary and her husband Martin of Marshfield and their children Michelle, Linda, and Deanne. Loving sister of Marjorie Reister and her late husband Edward and her late husband John Haddigan and their children Kevin, Patrick, Kerry, Kristen, and Shawn. Loving sister of Mary McCabe of Quincy and her children Stefan and Cameron. Also survived by many grand nieces and nephews.

A funeral home service will be held on Monday 12/16/2024 at 11 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a gathering at the funeral home until 1 PM. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elaine may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.
