Elaine Norine (Connell) Webb of Abington, passed away peacefully on January 18th surrounded by her loving family. She grew up in Dorchester and was a long-time resident of Quincy before moving to Abington. A devoted wife, mother, Grandmother and great-grandmother, Elaine’s family and faith were the most important things in her life. She enjoyed traveling – especially to Ireland to visit relatives, and annual family trips to West Dennis.
Beloved wife of 65 years to John (Jack) Webb Sr. Loving mother to Karen Shea of Abington, John Webb Jr and his wife Judy of Franklin, Stephen Webb of Abington, Brian Webb and his wife Lisa of Duxbury. Cherished grandmother to Joseph Webb and his wife Zoe of Newton, Christina Capasso, and her husband Vincenzo of Hopkinton, Bryan MatsubaWebb and his wife Michelle of LA, Caroline Shea of Abington, Meghan Shea and her fiancé Andrew of Quincy, Christopher Webb and his wife MacKenzie of Goffstown, NH, and Patrick Webb and his significant other Sarah of Buzzards Bay. Adoring great-grandmother to Lily Capasso and Ruby Webb. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law Margaret Connell.
Daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Gill) Connell. She was the last surviving sister of the following: Mary Ellen Colley and her husband, Frank, Margaret Hatherley and her husband John, Rev. Stephen Connell, Jr., Richard Connell, Robert Connell and James Connell.
Elaine graduated from St Gregory Grammar School and High School in Dorchester. She was employed by New England Telephone and Cinema Film Buying.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 1/22/2026 from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday 1/23/2026 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the memory of Elaine to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
