Evanelle Yvonne (Kittelson) Gustafson hailed from St. Peter, Minnesota and she entered into this world on July 11th 1946. She had many talents to which she applied herself, however quietly and perhaps too frequently so. Eldest daughter of Clifton Hubert Kittelson of Spring Grove, Minnesota and Joyce Lucille Farm of East Chain, Minnesota, she is survived by two biological siblings and their families: Colleen Joyce (Kittelson) Campbell of Illinois and Douglas Clifton Kittelson of Texas; and she is survived as well as by two siblings by marriage: Marcia (Gustafson) Kirchoff of Connecticut and California and Celia (Gustafson) Gillard of Connecticut and Rhode Island. Evanelle (Evie) is also survived by her son, Erik Karl Gustafson, of New York (born and now residing); and she is predeceased by her husband of fifty-one years, Alvar Walter Gustafson, Jr. of Chicago, Illinois.

Evanelle (Evie) lived together with her husband and her son in Quincy, Massachusetts for over forty years, and there she went beyond some federal categorization as "housewife." Employed in real estate and church school education as well as through her husband's academic institution of employment, Tufts University, Evie had other jobs as well as a variety of significant volunteer positions throughout her lifetime. Before her son, Erik, was born, she taught music for middle-schoolers in Ithaca, New York. Later in Boston, she sang as a volunteer with the Back Bay Chorale under Lloyd Hill, and she sang with the choir of Trinity Episcopal Church (Copley Square) In Boston for several years under Brian Jones. Devoted to and generous with her friends and family, she enjoyed cooking and gardening as well as music - singing and playing the piano.

A memorial service for Evie organized by her larger family is yet to be organized and arranged.
