IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Francis J.
Crowley
March 8, 1952 – February 16, 2026
Mr. Francis J. “Fran” Crowley, of Whitman, passed away on February 16, 2026. He was 73.
Fran was born in Dorchester, and was the son of the late Harold and Gertrude Driscoll Crowley. He was part of the Scituate High School graduating Class of 1970 and then went on to graduate from Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 1974 where he enjoyed playing football. He later graduated with a post graduate degree from Northeastern.
He could also be found for many years riding his Harley Davidson and then fulfilled another dream when he purchased his 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass.
Fran worked for over 40 years for Building Technology Engineers where he had built so many friendships.
He enjoyed meeting up with the Mass Maritime “out to lunch bunch” about every 3 months. He loved spending time in Marshfield, whether it be Saturdays with the garage gang or hanging out with the Skateland family or just to enjoy the Patriots. Fran could have a conversation about anything, especially when it related to cars.
Fran has built so many friendships along the way, and kept very active up until his illness made him slow down a bit.
Fran’s family was always the most important to him, as a husband, father, brother, uncle and was most proud when he became a grandfather.
He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Beloved husband of Michelle Lemieux Crowley. Loving father of Jason Crowley of Weymouth, and Timothy Crowley of Malden. Cherished grandfather of Amanda Crowley “Little One” of Weymouth. Brother of Trudy Crowley and her husband, Jeff Bilger of Falmouth, Maryanna Crowley Hanlon of Newport, NH, and Patricia Crowley - Norris and her husband, William of North Quincy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life that will be held in the spring. The family will be sending out details in the coming weeks.
