George E. Newcomb, 75 of Weymouth went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2016.
George was the beloved husband of Carole (Gilcoine) Newcomb for 54 years. He was a loving father to Keith Newcomb and his wife Sheryl, Karen Ruginski, Kristin Conover and Kerry Weygand. Cherished grandfather to Corey Conover, Jennifer Bachman, Holly Newcomb, Matthew Conover, Emily Newcomb, Brian Newcomb, Eric Newcomb, Kevin Ruginski, Meghan Ruginski, Brandon Weygand and Brady Weygand. Cherished great grandfather to Grayson and Madelyn Bachman . He leaves behind many loving brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.
George was born in Weymouth and lived most of his years in South Weymouth. George owned Four K Construction Company for 20 plus years in Hanover. He stayed active after he retired. He always found projects to keep himself busy with some form of construction. He loved what he did and took great pleasure in it. He was very meticulous about his work it had to be just right. His whole life was about his family and we were all loved. We will miss his big hugs and lively presence every day. He will be remembered by all who were blessed to have known him.
His Family would like to invite friends and family to help us celebrate George’s life. The wake will be January 6th from 4 to 8 at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home at 809 Main Street, Weymouth. The service will be on January 7th at the South Weymouth Church of the Nazarene at 385 Ralph Talbot Street, Weymouth at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to The Gideons International Organization. Bibles will be inscribed with his name and distributed around the world so his legacy will live on. Please visit their website at www.sendtheword.org
