Vazquez, George Manuel of Quincy, passed away March 18, 2026, at the age of 63.

George was the eldest of three children and was raised in Pelham, New York. He was a graduate of Pelham High School, Class of 1980, a graduate of Tufts University, Class of 1984, and a graduate of The Columbia University Graduate School of Business, Class of 1992. George built a distinguished career in financial services, chiefly at Fidelity Investments, where he spent over 20 years. He was a loyal Mets and Jets fan, passing down his love of sports to his two sons. A member at Boston Golf Club in Hingham, George’s passion for golf was described by his fellow BGC members as ‘defined by friendship, camaraderie, and a deep love for the game.’ George took immense pride in being the father to his two boys, Matthew and William. He will be missed greatly by his family and many friends whose lives he touched with his wit, spirit, and smile.

Son of Angela M. (Grogan) Vazquez of Liverpool and the late Manuel G. Vazquez of Galicia, Spain. Father of Matthew J. Vazquez of Quincy and William M. Vazquez of Boston. Brother of John Vazquez of Syracuse, New York and Victoria Vazquez of Bermuda. He is also survived by his loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 3/25/2026 from 4-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday 3/25/2026 at 6:15 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. The family invites you to a lunch in honor of George on Thursday 3/26/2026 at 12pm at Brick & Beam in Quincy. We also wish to invite in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Quincy College.
