Guarnotta, Gerard V. of Quincy, formerly South Boston, entered into rest January 23, 2017.
Gerard adored his family and loved spending time with them. He also loved sports, especially football. He played during his time at South Boston High School. He worked as a manager at the Randolph Lobster House. He was a devout Catholic and his faith was very important to him. Gerard enjoyed dancing, watching game shows on the TV, traveling to Bermuda, Italy, and London. He was the life of the party and loved everyone. He was a caring and helpful man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Son of the late Vincent and Maria (Bono) Guarnotta. Beloved husband of the late Lillian G. (Farrell) Guarnotta. Cherished father of Gerard W. Guarnotta and his wife Cathy of Quincy and Mary R. Guarnotta of Randolph. Brother of the late Frankie, Tony, and Gino Guarnotta, Mary Provenzano and her husband Eugene. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends William and Carol Salari, Gerard Neil, Michael Dunning, and Lorraine DeFranco.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 7:30-8:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 9 AM. Burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Boston.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerard’s name to Mother Angelica EWTN, payable to Eternal World Television Network, 5817 Old Leeds Rd., Irondale, AL 35210.
