Dooley, Gretchen C. (Connors) of Palo Alto, CA, formerly of Quincy and Brighton, January 13, 2003. Wife of the late John J. Dooley. Loving mother of the late John C. and Robert J. Dooley. Beloved sister of Anne P. Crowley of Milton. Dear aunt of Anne M. Holloway of Atherton, CA. Also, survived by two grandchildren and a grandnephew. Funeral Mass in St. Elizabeth Church, Milton at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Member of the Retired Teachers Association. She earned a Masters degree from Boston Teachers College. Beloved high school teacher at Roxbury Memorial and Girl’s Latin School. She was a world traveller with her dear late husband, John. She was an accomplished square dancer and ballroom dancer. Most importantly,she was a devoted sister, loving aunt and grandmother and grand aunt. She was a generous, caring and true friend to those many she loved.
