Henry R. Barsam

Barsam, Henry R. of Watertown, December 26, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Marie T. (O’Dea). Devoted father of Diane M. Barsam of Wayland, Henry R. “Rick” Barsam, Jr. and his wife Laureen of Waltham, David C. Barsam of Waltham, John C. Barsam of Watertown and Eric J. Barsam of Watertown. Loving grandfather of Elyse, Peter, Joseph and Max. Loving uncle of MaryLou Barsam and her daughter Lily of Bedford. Also survived by his dear aunts and many cousins. Mr. Barsam was born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1926 and came to America in 1949. He founded Barsam Rug Center of Newton in 1956. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Barsam may be made to the Oncology Dept., Mt. Auburn Hospital, 330 Mt. Auburn St., Cambridge, MA 02138.
