Holly Jean Clifford went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord, on May 12, 2025 holding on tightly to the hands of Jesus until the very end. Holly exhibited the most sincere, genuine, and devoted relationship with the Lord, so we know exactly where she is. Even through an impossibly tough battle with cancer, Holly held close to her faith in Jesus. She was a beautiful woman, not only externally but internally. When you met Holly, you could just tell there was something different about her. She had deep compassion and joy embedded in her that could only come from Jesus.
In her life, Holly was always looking after others. Whether you were a small four-legged creature in need of rescue or one of her many loved ones, you were going to receive the most tender and loving care from Holly.
Originally from Scituate, Holly moved all around during her childhood with her cherished family. From the south shore of Massachusetts to the coast of Maine, even to the deep woods of Alaska. Holly spent most of her young adult life on the coast of Maine, where she made lifelong friends and found her love of hairdressing with her best friend, Brenda. Later on, she returned to Scituate, where she met her beloved husband, Jim. Together, they made their house a home and welcomed twin daughters, Rebecca and Laura. Her girls were her pride and joy. Holly often said her most important and cherished job here on earth was to be a mom. She was the best one out there. While being the best mother, Holly somehow also made time to become a talented flower grower. With her husband, Jim, she grew thousands of dahlias, sunflowers, and just about any other flower you might dream up. As you reflect on Holly’s life, remember her warm hugs, her gentle prayers, and her loving spirit. May everyone be so blessed as to have a Holly in their lives to encourage them in faith and lead them to the Lord.
Our beautiful Holly is survived by her loving husband Jim, her twin daughters Rebecca and Laura, and her sisters Jane Rodriguez, Janice Loring, and Carolyn Koopman.
Our deepest gratitude is extended to Becky and Megan at NVNA Hospice, whose care went above and beyond for our Holly. Donations can be made to NVNA Hospice, or the many other organizations the Holly loved; Wheels for the World, Tunnel to Towers, and Compassion International.
