Irene E. (Barritt) Morrell, 83, passed away on September 6, 2026. Raised in Quincy, she spent years living in Weymouth and Port Charlotte, FL, before making her home in Daytona Beach, FL.

Irene was a proud 1961 graduate of Quincy High School and possessed an entrepreneurial spirit, running South Shore Fish Market alongside her various professional roles over the years. She was happiest with dirt on her hands in the garden or surrounded by loved ones at her dinner table, where her passion for cooking brought people together.

She is reunited in rest with her husband, Francis Morrell, and her parents, Russell and Gladys Barritt. Irene’s legacy lives on through her sons, Jeffrey and his partner Roger, Brian and his partner Linda, Stephen and his wife Michelle, and her cherished grandsons, Alexander, Nicholas, and Jacob. She is also survived by her first cousin, Richard Zanca of Bridgewater, and was predeceased by her first cousins, Robert Zanca and Thomas Kirkaldy. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 9/18/2026 from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. People wishing to attend the funeral service are to arrive at Keohane Funeral Home on Saturday 9/19/2026 at 10AM and will go in procession to Blue Hill Cemetery where the service will take place at 11 AM in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
