Jacquelyn Ann Travis (White)

Jacquelyn Ann (White) Travis, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and wife passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at the age of 79, in Quincy, surrounded by those who held her dear. Born on February 18, 1946, in Boston, MA, Jacky was a vibrant presence in the lives of many, who were touched by her unwavering kindness and lively spirit.

She is predeceased by her loving parents, Margaret (Cooper) and John Long, both of Boston, but is survived by her cherished family. Jacky was the beloved wife of George (Joe) Travis (retired BPD) for 30 years. She was the devoted mother to Kevin M. White and his wife Kathleen, as well as Stephen M. White and his wife Kristen, all of Quincy. Her legacy will live on through her adoring grandchildren, Logan, and her husband Matthew Roberts, alongside Kevin, Cameron, and Celia White, who lovingly referred to her as "Nana." Jacky also leaves behind her dear brother, Richard Long, and a multitude of cousins, nieces, and nephews, along with countless friends who enjoyed her camaraderie over the years.

A proud graduate of Dorchester High School, class of 1963, Jacky’s career spanned various fields, including her time at Raytheon, several law offices, and notably, the iconic Barrister Pub, where she became a familiar and cherished face. She also contributed to the early days of the 99 Restaurants in Boston, leaving her mark everywhere she went.

Pastimes were plentiful in Jacky’s life; she had a passion for traveling, often sharing fun-filled adventures with loved ones in destinations like Las Vegas, Aruba, and on numerous cruises. A dedicated hockey and baseball mom, Jacky's commitment to her children extended beyond just their games, taking on the role of “mom” to many kids in the neighborhood, creating lasting bonds and memories.
