James M. Gannon

Jim passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026. Jim was the cherished son of the late Charles (Jim) and Jeanne Gannon (Donnelly). Jim grew up and lived in Weymouth his entire life. He worked for many years at Dimerco Express Group as Logistics Manager and other various shipping and receiving companies in East Boston. Jim graduated from Weymouth North High School in 1984 and Bridgewater State University in 1988.

Jim is survived by his loving siblings; Patrick (Susan) Gannon of Cohasset, Susan (Billy) McCarthy of Weymouth and Maureen (John) DeCoste of Pembroke.

Jim loved spending time with and keeping up with his ten nieces and nephews Justina, Brianna, Cameron, Abbie, Sean, Jack, Mary, Michael, Shayla and Bridget. He also loved watching his extended family grow with the arrival of his 10 great nieces and nephews. Jim loved spending time on the beach, especially Nantasket and Cape Cod beaches.

Jim will be greatly missed by his family, but fond family memories will bring comfort and peace knowing he is now home with his parents.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, August 9, 2026 from 2-4 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square). A funeral service will be celebrated immediately following at 4 PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home.
