Dooley, James J. of Braintree, formerly of Roxbury, died July 5, 2016.
James was dedicated to his family, especially his mother and father. A loyal friend, he would help anyone in need. James served his country during Vietnam in the U.S. Army followed by 20 years of service in the National Guard. He was patriotic and a straight shooter. James was a former member of the Hanna Club Football, a semi-pro team of Roxbury
Devoted son of the late James Dooley and Frances (Foy) Dooley. Loving brother of John Dooley and his wife Jean of Braintree, Joseph Dooley and his wife Arlene of Quincy, Alice Fitzmaurice and her husband Philip of Quincy, Mary Gallagher and her husband Russell of Braintree, and the late Paul Dooley. Nephew of John Foy of Dorchester and Uncle to Jolene, Evan, Ashley and Tara. Dear friend of Tricia Maher and the late Jean Sweeney.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
