Jane E. Gordon

Jane Elizabeth (Drew) Gordon, 80, of Saint Augustine, Florida formerly of South Easton, MA passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025. She was the loving wife of James Joseph Gordon Jr. for 47 years prior to his passing in February of 2018. Jane is survived by her son Jason and his wife Julie (Struzziery) and their children Jack and Julia of Hull, MA, her step-children Cathleen Ranalli (James) and her sons Jake and Mark of Norwood, MA and James and his wife Greta (Hebert) and their children Bailey and Brighid of Alexandria, V A. She is also survived by her cousin (close as sisters) Linda Longley of FL as well as several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Jane was predeceased by her parents Roy and Edna (Howard) and her brothers Melvin and Leonard. Jane attended Westbrook College and went on to work as an administrative assistant at Wheaton College in Norton, MA, first in the Residential Life Department where she enjoyed the interaction with the students, some of whom she still maintained friendships with and enjoyed being considered their “2nd mom”, and then to Kollet Hall working in the computer center. She was known for her professionalism, kindness, and dedication.

Jane cherished time spent with her family and friends and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Holidays were an especially important time for her. Her Thanksgiving meals will always be remembered. She also enjoyed crafting, reading, baking, lounging in the pool, and gardening.

Jane will be remembered for her warmth, strength and generous spirit. In FL, she could be found spending time with her “ladies” at the Amvets Post 45 for hearty laughs and even heartier drinks. She will be missed as you cannot just replace a woman, mother, or friend like her.

Jane’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Sunrise Assisted Living of Braintree and Ascend Hospice for taking exceptional care of her.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at a later date.
