Janet A.
Cicchese
December 31, 1950 – April 10, 2026
Janet A. Cicchese, 75, passed away on April 10, 2026, after a courageous battle with declining health.
Janet will be remembered for her extraordinary ability to bring joy to others. She had a gift for making people laugh, even in their grumpiest moments, and for reminding everyone she met of their shared humanity. With a warm smile and an empathetic heart, she made people feel welcome, understood, and valued. Whether through a quick joke or a long conversation that stretched from minutes into hours, Janet had a way of turning ordinary moments into lasting memories.
For many, Janet was the kind of friend who left a lasting mark. She formed deep and meaningful connections, often without realizing just how much she meant to others. Those closest to her remember the “belly-aching laughs” she inspired and the countless conversations that seemed to fly by, filled with humor, honesty, and care. She faced life’s many challenges with quiet strength, persevering through obstacles with tenacity and grace, and always striving to live life to the fullest.
Professionally, Janet was often the first voice and first smile people encountered. While working in a dental practice, she became known as the welcoming presence who put patients at ease the moment they walked through the door. Her quick wit and natural kindness made her an irreplaceable part of the workplace and a comfort to many.
Janet also had a creative spirit and a love for performance. She enjoyed acting and singing and appeared on stage, television, and the big screen. One of her proudest achievements was serving as the understudy for the lead in The Threepenny Opera. When called upon to step into the starring role, she rose to the occasion and delivered a truly memorable performance.
At home and among friends, Janet was known for her famous triple chocolate frosted brownies, which she shared generously—just another way she brought happiness to those around her.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Albert T. Cicchese and Dorethea J. Cicchese. She was predeceased by her brother, Albert “Chick” Cicchese Jr., and is survived by her brother, Roger Cicchese.
Janet never sought recognition for the impact she had, but her life made a profound difference. She enriched the lives of so many, and those who knew her will carry forward the laughter, kindness, and love she gave so freely. Though she is deeply missed, the memories she created will continue to bring comfort and joy.
