Janet Ellen Tagg

Janet Ellen Tagg, of Weymouth, passed away surrounded by her adoring family on October 7, 2025. She was 66. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, intelligence, and an unwavering dedication to her loved ones and profession. Janet's life was a testament to the power of caring and commitment, traits that defined her as a wife, mother, sister, and nurse.

Born in 1958 to Carl and Virginia (Greene) Carlson, she was born into a family that cherished togetherness and support, Janet's nurturing spirit was evident from an early age. Her journey through life was shared with her devoted husband of 45 years, Robert, who stood by her side as a partner in every sense of the word. Together, they raised a family that mirrored their values of love and respect. Janet was a proud mother to her sons, Michael, married to Deirdre, Jason, and his partner Mia, and her daughter Tamara. She was also a cherished sister to Nancy Carlson, married to Danny Lawrence, and Susan Carlson, married to David Larson. Each family member was a precious thread in the rich tapestry of her life.

Professionally, Janet dedicated 27 years to nurturing the youngest and most vulnerable as a pediatric nurse supervisor. Her compassion and expertise touched countless lives, guiding families through their most challenging moments with grace and empathy. She then transitioned to a role as a Medicare fraud nurse, where she continued to protect and serve for an additional 9 years. Janet's love for her job was palpable, and her commitment to her work was unwavering until her retirement

Janet's interests were as vibrant and diverse as her personality. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from the tranquility of the beach to the excitement of a new crochet project. Coronaritas and hikes were among her favorite ways to unwind, while her love for reading and traveling spoke to her adventurous spirit. Janet was an avid shopper, a connoisseur of disaster movies, and a collector of DVDs, with a particular fondness for the Titanic and Jurassic Park sagas. Her enthusiasm for sci-fi, concerts, and playing on her iPad was infectious, and she cherished her collection of stuffed animals. Above all, Janet's heart belonged to her two cats, Henry and Rico, and her family, who were the center of her universe. She relished hosting cookouts for family and friends, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Janet's life was a reflection of the words that best describe her: loving, kind, and intelligent. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt. Yet, the love she shared will continue to resonate, a gentle reminder of a life beautifully lived and a woman dearly loved. Janet Ellen Tagg's memory will be cherished and honored by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her in this journey of life.

The family will be having a celebration of life at a later date.
