Hammond, Jeanette M. (Pierce) of Hingham formerly of Belmont, May 7, 2003. Wife of the late Joseph F. Hammond. Mother of Joseph F. Hammond, Jr. and his wife Marybeth, Barbara A. Ross and her husband Dennis A. all of Hingham and Janet M. Sainte and her husband Steven L. of Belmont. Sister of the late William J. Pierce. Cousin of John J. Hagenbuch of Pittsfield. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Saturday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. She spent many years working for the Boston Globe in the sales and advertising department. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club of Hingham, the Hingham Yacht Club, Red Cross volunteer as well as vice chairman of Hingham Tanners Youth Hockey from 1962-1967.Donations in memory of Mrs. Hammond may be made to Perkins Library, 175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472-2790.
