Jeanne Marie Narcotta of Quincy, MA passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 26, 2026. She was 87 years of age.

Beloved daughter of the late Dorothy T. (Mello) Doherty and Carl A. Narcotta and step­father, Willard H. Doherty.

Beloved sister of Carol Ann "Sandy" Narcotta Kelly and her late husband, Scott Kelly of Center Conway, NH, John C. Narcotta and his wife, Marilyn, of Brentwood, NH, the late Jeffrey Narcotta and his wife, Patricia, of Whitman, the late Willard "Bill" Doherty, of Middleboro, Michael P. Doherty and his wife, Donna, of Amherst, NH, and Nancy Knowlton Sibley and her husband, Sidney Sibley, of Dorchester.

Also survived by ten nieces and nephews and 11 great-nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was born in Cambridge and graduated from Braintree High School, class of 1956. She was a long-time resident of East Braintree and later, of Quincy. She worked for decades in the Accounting Department of the Boston Herald before retiring in the nineties. Jeanne was a generous and loving person, and her family meant everything to her. She was the unofficial family historian, given her encyclopedic knowledge of family history and lineage. She will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family, and participate in a celebration of life, on Monday June 15, 2026 from 11am to noon, at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main St., (Rt. 18) South Weymouth, MA.

A prayer service and brief remembrance will follow at 12 noon.

Interment to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree, MA.
