Joanne P. Delaney (JoJo) of Hyannis, fomerly of South Weymouth passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026 after a brief illness with her loving siblings by her side. She was 64.

Joanne was the daughter of the late Robert Delaney and Clare Delaney Moniz. She is survived by her sister Paula Delaney of Hyannis MA, her brother Robert Delaney Jr. and his wife Carol of Johns Island, South Carolina, her nieces Kaitlyn Delaney of East Greenwich, RI and Emily Delaney-Cox and her husband Tim of Charlotte, NC.

She had many loving cousins and friends including her group of five friends she affectionately called “The girls”. Joanne loved her Cobblestone neighborhood, her yard and gardens, the Red Sox, Patriots and beating her sister Paula in scrabble. But mostly she loved her family and friends.

JoJo was known for her witty sense of humor. She loved anyone who ‘laughed at my jokes’. She will be missed but we know that she is at peace with her loving mom and dad.

A graveside service will be held for Joanne on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Mt Hope Cemetery in Weymouth, 398 Elm Street. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Joanne’s name to Neurofibromatosis Foundation - https://www.nfnetwork.org
