John T. Daily

John T. Daily, known affectionately as Jack to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2024, surrounded by the love of his devoted family.

Jack was born into the loving arms of the late Paul and Anna Daily. Beloved husband and companion of wife, Sharilee F. Daily of Weymouth. Father of Michael Daily and his wife Susan and Megan Sikora. Stepfather of Maryellen Damon, Michael Damon and the late Mark Damon. Brother of Judith North-Smith, Faith Schutte, and the late Henry Daily. Dear friend and brother-in-law of William Fountain. Grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Completing his family was his loyal dog, Hank, who was a constant source of joy.

Jack served his country with pride as a United States Vietnam era Army veteran. After his military service, he embarked on a diverse career path, from owning the Hingham Lobster Pound to working as a welder in the Quincy shipyard, and serving the community at the Hull post office. Jack's work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit were admired by all who knew him.

An avid reader and passionate New England Patriots fan, Jack found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a gifted storyteller, whose tales could captivate any audience, and he cherished his Foxwood trips and road trips, which often led to unexpected adventures. Jack's artistic side shone through in his painting and drawing, where he expressed his creativity and keen eye for beauty.
