Kenney, John F. of Quincy September 3, 2005 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of 45 years to the late Rita E. (Scannell) Kenney. Loving father of Elizabeth (Scribner) & her husband Christopher Aronne of Quincy and Patricia (Scribner) & her husband John Bailey of Abington. Brother of Eileen Nagle of South Boston, Virginia Ricker and Ruth Nilsen, both of Sarasota, FL. Devoted grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Mr. Kenney worked for New England Telephone for 40 years, retiring as a manager in 1988. During WWII, he proudly served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Rita and he cherished being a grandfather and great grandfather.
