John F. Fiore Jr., a lifelong resident of South Weymouth, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, April 13, 2025. He was 70.
John was born in Boston on July 4, 1954, and was the son of the late John F. Sr. and Rita P. (Mulrean) Fiore. He was raised in South Weymouth and attended local schools.
Known for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, John touched the lives of all who knew him.
John spent his life close to the community he loved. Quiet and reserved by nature, he had a presence that brought calm, comfort, and warmth to those around him. Whether you needed a helping hand, a thoughtful word, or just quiet company, John was always there steadfast and sincere.
John had a profound love for the outdoors. He found joy and peace while fishing in freshwater lakes, boating on tranquil waters, and soaking in the natural beauty of New Hampshire. He had a photographer’s eye, often capturing serene landscapes and everyday moments with an appreciation that only someone who truly loved life could convey.
In addition to his love of nature and photography, John was a passionate collector. He cherished antique treasures and baseball cards, each piece a story, a memory, a small connection to the past.
John will be remembered as the sweetest man you could ever meet—genuine, humble, and always willing to lend a hand. His legacy is not just in the hobbies he pursued, but in the quiet kindness he gave so freely and the love he shared with family and friends.
John was the devoted stepfather of Christopher J. Carlson and his wife Mary of Taunton. He was the loving brother of Audrey M. Bradley and her husband Craig of Rockland and Wayne J. Fiore and his wife Jayne of Halifax. John was the dear uncle of Rachel White and her husband Zach of Plympton, Adam Fiore of Halifax, and Jeremy Bradley of Rockland.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
His funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital), Weymouth.
Following cremation, John will be interred privately in Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in John's name to the charitable organization of one's choice.
