John was born and raised in Cambridge, MA.  He worked for 40 years for General Motors in Framingham and Westwood and was a proud UAW member, evident by his awareness of all that transpired in the recent union negotiations.  In retirement and keeping with his mantra to “learn/earn/return”, John volunteered for several years with the Hingham Council on Aging driving senior citizens on errands and activities.  His favorite was the annual trip to Fenway Park.  John was an avid Boston Sports fan, he read both papers sports sections daily and loved to correct you if you had the wrong information on the big four sports teams.  His life was a very blessed and full one, most evident by the conversations and witty exchanges with his immediate and extended family, as well as special friends during their many calls and visits.
