Joseph S. "Joe" Connolly of Quincy passed away from pneumonia on September 23, 2026 at the Valerie Hunt Nursing Home in Danvers following years of struggle with dementia.

Joe grew up in Roxbury, graduated from Dorchester High School in 1964, and years later received a BA degree from U. Mass. Boston in 1998. He worked as a realtor with an office in Weymouth. His beloved wife Susan passed away in 2002.

He was a member of the recovery community for many years. “Second Row Joe” was a power of example and a help to numerous people.

He is survived by his son Peter of San Diego, sister Sabina of Quincy, brother Tom of Virginia and nephew Tom of North Carolina. Dear friend of Peter Griswold of Quincy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday October 13, 2026 from 5-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.followed by a Celebration of Life service on Tuesday at 6 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.
