Judith E. Gardiner

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith “Judy” E. Gardiner, 78, of Lake Placid, Fla., formerly of Weymouth, MA., who passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2025 after succumbing to her terminal disease of Primary Progressive Aphasia and Frontal Temporal Dementia, surrounded by her loving family.

Judy was born on February 25, 1946, and raised in Quincy, MA where she graduated from Quincy High School. After graduating, Judy worked as a phlebotomist for Dr. Ernesti’s office in Quincy, MA until her retirement, where the staff and clients absolutely loved her. She also worked at South Shore Hospital in the emergency room in Weymouth, MA previously for years before that as a phlebotomist as well. Judy was a snowbird and traveled every winter season to Sarasota, Fla to enjoy the warm sunshine and search for seashells on the beach. She enjoyed gardening in her yard, sewing, cooking, playing card games, entertaining at home for holidays and hosting summer gatherings by her inground pool with her family and friends. She moved to Florida in her later years to live out her remaining time peacefully, as she always wished for. She loved and cared for so many during the course of her lifetime. She left a mark on the people she met and touched so many lives! She was known for her loving, kind and generous spirit, and infectious sense of humor.

Judith was the beloved wife of the late Theodore C. Gardiner, and is survived by her daughter, April E. Gardiner of Lake Placid, Fla, and her son, Christopher T. Gardiner of Sarasota, Fla., Step-mother to the late Theodore C. Gardiner, Jr., Deborah L. Pelrine (Gardiner) of Plymouth, MA, Denise L. Lotfi (Gardiner) and her husband Ali Lotfi of Weston, MA. Evangelista and her husband Frank Evangelista of Solon, ME, Kimberly E. Likins of Lake Placid, Fla., Amy E.Schneiderhan and her husband Richard of Chesnee, S. Carolina.

Shea, proud step-grandmother to Daniel McNamee, Matthew Pelrine, Jazmin McKinney (Lotfi) and her husband Patrick McKinney, Samantha Pelrine and her husband Daniel Forand, Azita Lotfi, and Arezu Lotfi.
