Judith M. “Judy” Still, a lifelong resident of Weymouth, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was 84.
She was born in Boston to Dorothy M. (Brindle) and Roger Hoffman and raised in Weymouth. She graduated from Weymouth High School and went on to work for the New England Telephone Company. She left the telephone company when she started a family and then returned to the workforce as an accountant for Building 19. To further her education and sharpen her accounting skills, she attended Fisher College. She would go on to work at Building 19 for over 27 years.
Judy was feisty, full of life and enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Whether it was a trip to Las Vegas, Friday night Fascination, or Bingo at St. Joseph’s in Holbrook and Sacred Heart Church in Quincy, she was the life of the party. When she was home, she spent time playing on the computer or watched the Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even her grand dog, Charlie. You always knew where you stood with Judy. She truly wore her heart on her sleeve. Her adoration for her family and friends ran deep but it certainly was tough love. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Devoted mother to Sheryl Still of Roslindale, Jeffrey Still and his companion Kimberly McEachern of North Weymouth, Linda Still and her companion Mike White of Hanson, and Thomas Still Jr. WFD of North Weymouth. Cherished grandmother to Jennifer, Ryan, Eric, Jillian, Krista, Mark, Jonathan, Olivia and Benjamen. Adoring great-grandmother to Jenn, Peyton, Paisley, Parker, Derek, Alexandria and Wesley. Loving mother-in-law to Lisa Still. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son, Christopher Still and daughter, Patricia Still, her parents, Dorothy M. (Brindle) and Roger Hoffman, and her siblings, Paul Hoffman and Donna Badger.
Services will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to A Living Tribute, where a tree will be planted in honor and memory of Judy.
