Judith E. “Judi” (Wing) Salmeri, of Weymouth, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, September 19, 2025. She was 82.

Known for her bright smile and infectious humor, Judi had a gift for lighting up every room she entered. She loved to sew and craft, and she found joy in creating things that made others happy. Crazy funny with a great sense of humor, she was always the one to keep spirits high and make people laugh.
Her passions included dancing, singing, and spending time with friends and family. Judi truly loved a good party, and her warmth and energy made her the heart of every gathering.
For 17 years, Judi served the community as a Weymouth Crossing Guard, retiring in 2007. She took pride in keeping children safe and was a familiar, friendly face to countless families over the years. The Town of Weymouth allowed Union Street Elementary School, (now the Hamilton Elementary) to honor Judi with a plaque out in front of the school. It says “Judi’s Corner”
Above all, Judi lived her life with positivity, generosity, and love. She wanted everyone to smile, and she made sure they did. Her presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
