Julianne Marie (Egan) Foley of Quincy, MA, passed away on October 7, 2025, after a brief but courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was 67 years old.
Born and raised in Brockton, Julie was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas J. Egan and Patricia (Roy) Egan. She made Quincy her home for the past 35 years, where she built a life grounded in family, friendship, and quiet resilience.
Julie is survived by her devoted sister, Jane E. Egan of Santa Fe, NM, and her brother, Michael J. Egan of Quincy, MA. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas J. Egan, Jr, who passed in early childhood.
She will be deeply missed by her cherished aunt and uncle, Suzanne and Roger Sherman of Centerville, MA, and by her cousins Roger Sherman (wife Lisa, daughter Concetta) of Yarmouthport, MA, and Mark Sherman (wife Regina, son Zachary, daughter Jordan) of Plymouth, MA.
Julie’s circle of dear friends, who became her chosen family, includes Steve and Debbie DiGiusto; Matt and Sherrill Anne Keenan and their children Kira (her goddaughter), Molly, and Zachary; Jimmy and Jaime DiGiusto and their son Domenic; and Peter and Pam Keenan. Their love and unwavering support were constants in her life.
For the past 40 years, Julie dedicated herself to the Fruit Center Marketplace in Milton, MA, where she worked in the company offices. Over those decades, she developed lifelong bonds with three generations of the Mignosa family, who became family in every sense. Julie also held deep affection for the many employees she met and befriended throughout the years. Her loyalty, warmth, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Julie found immense joy in the time she spent with her close friends and their families. Whether on vacations in Florida and Cape Cod or enjoying nights and weekends in Boston and New York City, she embraced life’s moments with gratitude and love. Prior to her mother’s passing in 2018, Julie and Patricia shared a close and inseparable bond, frequently found out to dinner, shopping, or traveling together.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Julie’s memory may be made to the Gynecological Oncology Research Program Fund at the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute, whose compassionate care supported her from her diagnosis in May until her passing.
