Kathleen Marie Morrison, 71, of Medford, MA, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025. Bornin Boston, Kathleen grew up in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School in 1971, where she was a proud member of the National Honor Society. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Economics from Boston State College in 1975, followed by a Master’s Degree in Public Administration in 1980.

Kathleen dedicated 37 years to public service, working with the Public Health Service and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Her commitment and excellence were recognized at the highest levels, including honors from the head of Medicare for her outstanding contributions.

A passionate sports fan, Kathy especially loved the Boston Red Sox. She was a longtime season ticket holder and could often be found at Fenway Park, cheering on her team with unwavering enthusiasm. Collecting sports memorabilia brought her great joy and connected her to the teams and players she admired.

Kathy was predeceased by her beloved partner, Tony Pasciuto; her parents, Charles Morrison and Marguerite (Burke) Morrison; and her brothers Clifford, Kenneth, and Stephen Morrison. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Elaine O’Connell and her husband Brian; her sister-in-law Theresa Morrison, wife of the late Stephen Morrison; her goddaughter and niece Jennifer Espinosa and husband David; her niece Jill Richardson and husband Jason; nephews Michael O’Connell and wife Carolyn, and Mark Morrison; and many grandnieces and grandnephews who brought her great happiness throughout her life.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy’s memory to the Jimmy Fund/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
