Kathleen (Bradley) Shea, a resident of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester and Shandrum, County Donegal, Ireland, entered into eternal rest on Sunday June 22, 2025, at age 94.

Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late John Shea. She was the devoted mother of Margaret Shea and her husband Robert Nielsen of Chelmsford, MA, Mary Galligan and her husband Michael Galligan of Northborough, MA, and Ellen Shea and her husband Kevin Cullen of Milton, MA. She is the loving grandmother of Kathleen Nielsen and her fiancé Kenneth Olchowski, Colin Galligan, and John Cullen. She is the beloved sister of Joseph Bradley, Edward Bradley, and Dinah McLaughlin all of Co. Donegal, Ireland.

She is predeceased by her sisters Eileen Devlin and Mary Fullerton-Walsh, brothers Neil Bradley, John Bradley, James Bradley, Michael Bradley, Daniel Bradley, and William Bradley, and her beloved grandson, Matthew Galligan. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews in the United States and Ireland.

Kathleen was born in Shandrum, Co. Donegal, Ireland on May 20, 1931, a daughter of the late James and Mary (McLaughlin) Bradley. She grew up on her family farm in Shandrum and was educated in her small town. In 1954, Kathleen immigrated to the United States on the Queen Mary. She married John Shea, originally from Glenbeigh, Co. Kerry, Ireland in 1959.

Kathleen enjoyed celebrating her Irish heritage and, along with her husband John, frequented the many Irish dances in the Boston area. She also took many trips to Maine, Ireland, and Bermuda. Most of all Kathleen loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 9-10:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy immediately following the visitation, at 11 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Quincy.
