Taylor, Kathleen E. (Zercher) of Quincy, died August 12, 2026.

Kathy was born in Pennsylvania and lived all over the world while her father was in the Air Force, including England, Spain, North Carolina, and Texas. She graduated from Fayetteville High School in Fayetville, NC class of 1966 and excelled in mathematics as a member of the National Honor Society. She worked for Quincy Community Action Programs (QCAP) for many years and was a devout Catholic, attending daily Mass at St. John’s Church in Quincy. Kathy enjoyed visiting her sister in NJ and was proud of her Irish heritage, staying in touch with her family that lived there. She was a massive fan of all genre of music, particularly the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, and Mozart. She was a sweet and caring woman who had the gift of gab. She will be greatly missed.

Daughter of the late Robert and Frances (Butler) Zercher. Wife of Joseph F. Taylor of Alton, NH. Loving mother of Joseph F. Taylor, Jr. and his wife Donna of Quincy, Brian T. Taylor of Quincy. Cherished sister of Patricia Beamenderfer and her husband Dennis of PA, Michael Zercher of CA, Gerald Zercher of CA, Joan Basa of NJ, Thomas Zercher of NJand the late Glenn Zercher. Dear “Nanny” of Sydney, Zachary, Andrew and his wife Olivia, Kathryn, and great grandmother of Addison. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, especially her niece Jenny Basa who she was very close with. Predeceased by their cherished dog Lexus, who she loved like a child.

A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday 8/19/2026 in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to QCAP, 1509 Hancock St., 3rd Floor, Quincy, MA 02169. See www.Keohane.com for directions and online condolences.
