With heavy hearts and deep love we announce the passing of Kenneth “Ken” Arthur Driscoll of Weymouth, MA on July 14, 2026, at the age of 85.He was born November 3, 1940, in Boston, Massachusetts a son of the late Francis A. and Sophie “Sally” E. (Miksens) Driscoll.

Ken proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962, a period he looked back on with great pride, including time stationed in Japan that held a special place in his heart throughout his life. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal in recognition of his exemplary service and was honorably discharged, having served his country with distinction.

Ken wore a bold and boisterous personality like armor grounded in the hardships of his youth. He ironically left good conduct behind upon his military discharge, always eager to engage in a little mischief. He earned a living as a commercial oil truck driver expertly maneuvering his rig through the neighborhoods of Boston. He took great pride in his “thread the needle” driving skills. Boston winters never dampened his work ethic, always strong, reliable and dependable even if “no one shoveled for the oil man”.

In retirement, Ken enjoyed musical theater, costume parties, spending time on the golf course and by the ocean, along with cooking for his friends and family. He was especially known for his homemade pies, potato salad, bleenies and fish chowder. Always executed to perfection and rave reviews much to the dismay of the dinner party. A bold and boisterous personality is not quiet about their latest kitchen masterpiece and it was hard to argue when you asked for seconds.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Robert F. Driscoll and his soulmate Frances "Fran" (Sharland) Olson. Ken is survived by his daughter, Karen A. Driscoll, and her husband, William Scott Cluett III of Roslindale: his son, Kenneth T. Driscoll, and daughter-in-law, Cindy J. (Dalley) Driscoll of Newfoundland, Canada and his beloved grandchildren, Aidan, Kyle and Abigail who brought him the greatest joy and the happiest memories.

Ken will be remembered for his dedicated service to his country, his love of life's pleasures, and the love he shared with his friends and family. In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to celebrate and honor Ken’s legacy by taking in a show, hitting the links, or cooking dinner for your friends and family, seafood of course with a dozen oysters to start accompanied by a lovely bottle of wine.

A private family service will be held to honor his life. We appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
