Larry F. Player

On December 31st, Larry Player of Quincy, Massachusetts passed away after his 4+ year battle with ALS. Larry adored his family and friends and was adored by all in return. He worked all over Massachusetts during his long career in HVAC and sheet metal work, most recently at Noyes Sheet Metal, and made many friends on the job over the years. He loved Boston sports and was an avid golfer himself. He was laid back and enjoyed vacations in Florida and going to the beach. Larry was loved for his sense of humor, and while he could be quiet at times, he was always ready with a witty remark to get everybody laughing. He was devoted to those he loved and was always there to help. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Karen Player of Quincy. Cherished father of Nicole Player of Hingham and Christopher Player of Boston. Loving son-in-law of Vivian Carey of Quincy and brother-in-law of Kathy Roach and her husband Mike, Robert Carey and his wife Kristina, Joan Carey, and Cheryl Sullivan. Also survived by many dear nieces and nephews, and several lifelong friends who he considered brothers. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 1/6/2025 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday 1/7/2025 at 10 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
