Lary R. Wilson

Wilson, Lary R. of Hingham, died December 31, 2025.

Lary cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was proud of his Jewish heritage and enjoyed talking to others with the same background. He was a singer in his younger days, performing at hotels and produced a few records. He worked with his father and brother at the family's scrap metal business and also with his son and daughter in law at their recycling business. He was a renaissance man who left an indelible impression wherever he went, especially with all of his colorful shirts and jackets that he loved to buy. Lary was charismatic and had a knack for self promotion. He loved to be the center of attention. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Devoted father of Lauren Steinberg and her husband Marc of Taunton and Scott Wilson and his wife Allison of Cohasset. Brother of the late Ronald Wilson. Cherished grandfather of Emily Childers and her husband Richard, Andrew Steinberg, Erica Steinberg, and Grant Wilson and great grandfather of Joshua, Ava, and Aria Childers. Former spouse of Linda Block, Edith Hill, and Diane Sommack.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday 1/17/2026 from 11 AM-12 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM followed by a funeral home service at 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lary may be made to Bridges by EPOCH at Hingham, 1 Sgt. William B. Terry Drive, Hingham, MA 02043.
