Lawrence F. P. Fallon, Jr., Esq., of Canton, 74 years of age, after a lengthy illness, passed away at home on May 1, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving family.
As a very devout Catholic, he attended Mass and enjoyed participating in the Stations of the Cross at St. Oscar Romero, formerly St. John's, of Canton. Larry was also an Alter Server at St. Ann's in Wollaston, for many years.
Larry is survived by his only son, Lawrence, III, of Cape Cod, MA.
He was the son of Lawrence F. Fallon, Sr. and Mary (McGrath) Fallon, (deceased) of Quincy. He had a strong Democratic activism passed to him by his loving parents.
Larry is survived by his siblings; Margaret (Peggy) Fallon of Falmouth; Julia and (Paul) Hartley of Duxbury; Peter and (Ann) Fallon formerly of Walpole; Mary Ann Fallon and Anne Lewis of Quincy and Joseph and (Kimberly) Fallon of Quincy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, who adored Uncle Larry.
Larry was born in Dorchester and raised in Quincy, MA, where he attended St. Ann's Parochial School, Boston College High School, Holy Cross College and graduated from the University of Mass/Boston with a degree in Philosophy. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctor from New England School of Law in 1992.
Larry was a certified Private Investigator and a Public Defender. He practiced law for over thirty years, where he enjoyed defending his clients vigorously and judiciously.
He was a strong advocate for the poor.
Larry was a Seventh Degree Black Belt in Uechi Ryu. He loved instructing both young and old in this ancient art form. This inspired him to teach/mentor many underprivileged youth.
Through his work, he garnered an invitation to study with the Masters in Okinawa and mainland China.
He had a profound love of music. Larry enjoyed playing the Flute, Harmonica, and Guitar.
Larry will be missed by all who crossed his path, especially his brother, Peter, whom he resided with for years. They enjoyed each others company while cooking, playing music, watching Westerns, and "yelling" over sports games.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday May 11, 2025 from 2-5 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday May 12th, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
