Levon “Lee” Lawson, age 70, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and deep connection to his family and community.
Born in Kinston, North Carolina, Levon moved to Boston, Massachusetts at the age of 13, always carrying his Carolina roots with him. He proudly served as a Boston Firefighter until his retirement due to injury. In his adult years, he made his home in Weymouth, Massachusetts, where he became a beloved presence in the Weymouth Public Schools.
Known affectionately as “Lee” or “Mr. Lawson,” he had a gift for bringing light into any room. With his constant smile, easygoing spirit, and genuine care for others, he touched the lives of countless students and families. He made people feel seen, supported, and uplifted, and his impact on the community will not be forgotten.
Levon was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his three sons, Jordan, Justin, and Dan; his grandchildren Isaiah, Landon, and six other grandchildren who brought him great pride and joy; his siblings, Larry and Linda; and his former wife, Christine Lawson. He was predeceased by his mother, Doris.
He is also survived by his loving partner, Faye Robinson, who, alongside his sons, stood by his side and cared for him with unwavering devotion until his final days.
Levon will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, and the way he made others feel. His presence was a steady source of comfort and positivity, and his memory will live on in all those whose lives he touched.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 4/10/2026 from 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday 4/11/2026 at 11 AM in Central Baptist Church Quincy ( 65 Washington St, Quincy, MA 02169).
The Lawson family is deeply grateful for the love, support, and prayers shared during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Weymouth Public Schools in honor of Levon’s legacy.
