Dhimitri, Lorraine of Quincy, passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2026 at the age of 76, surrounded by her loving family and lifelong friend.
Lorraine (“Tootsie”) was born and raised in South Boston before moving to Quincy 15 years ago. She worked for the MIB (Medical Information Bureau) Group in Braintree for over 46 years as a Senior Disputed Case Specialist and Team Leader. She enjoyed movies and music. Being a bit nostalgic, she preferred to watch old “Hollywood Classic" movies and listen to “Oldies but Goodies” music. Lorraine enjoyed gardening, fixing things around the house, drives to Newport and Maine, days at the beach, and occasional trips to the Casino. She loved watching football and especially tennis, but most of all, Lorraine loved family gatherings and being around her nieces, her nephew, and her 5 grand nieces. She was an uplifting and fun person to be around…the life of the party.
Lorraine will be remembered for the loving, caring, and dependable person she was. Always a phone call away, Lorraine was there in time of need for anyone, at anytime of the day or night. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Loving daughter of the late Vasil and Mary (George) Dhimitri. Cherished sister of Virginia Ragab of Marshfield, Louise Gadowski and her husband Daniel of Quincy, Dennis Dhimitri of Quincy, and Carol Dhimitri of Milton. Survived by her nephew and godson Evan Gadowski of Quincy, niece and goddaughter Marisha Eriksen and her husband Spencer of Scituate, niece Jehan Giaquinto and her husband Nicholas of Marshfield, and her 5 grand nieces: Charlotte, Palmer, and Sutton Eriksen and Gianna and Sophia Giaquinto. Also survived by her lifelong best friend Rosemary Vardaro of Brockton.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 6/10/2026 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday 6/11/2026, time and location to be announced. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Lorraine may be made to Croi Health Charitable Fund (formerly Norwell Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice) 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
