Louis “Big Rig Lou” Yeary, of Weymouth, died unexpectedly due to heart related complications on Friday, August 1, 2025. He was 37.
Born in Weymouth on July 22, 1988, he was raised in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth Evening High School. Following high school, he quickly found his calling in life—towing. Lou was the owner and operator of Blackwater Towing in Braintree alongside his nephew Brian Jr. For Lou, towing wasn’t just a job; it was a passion. He dedicated his entire life to helping people. His work ethic was unmatched, and he took immense pride in what he did.
Lou was a man of many loves. First and foremost, he cherished his children, who were the light of his life. He loved to share his passion for cars and trucks with his boys. They spent many weekends visiting local car shows together. He adored his motorcycle, finding peace and freedom on the open road. He had a deep love for cars and trucks, and when he wasn't working on them, he was talking about them.
A true people-person, Lou had the kind of charisma that lit up every room he entered. He was the life of the party, with a sharp sense of humor and a selfless heart. Always the first to lend a hand, Lou had a way of making everyone feel like family.
He found joy in the simple things: fishing, camping, and spending quality time with his friends and family. Lou was the kind of man who left an impact on everyone he met.
To know Lou was to love him—and to laugh with him. His caring nature, infectious energy, and generous spirit will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a legacy full of love, laughter, and loyalty.
Lou was the devoted father of Chase and Jack Yeary of Weymouth. He was the son of Brian S. Yeary of Weymouth and the late Lois (Pappas) Yeary, who died in 2022. Lou was the dear brother of Crystal Yeary of Hanover and the late Brian Yeary of Weymouth, who died in 2023. He was the cherished uncle of Brian Jr., Joanna and Helena Yeary, all of Weymouth. Lou is also survived by the mother of his children, Brenda Demling of Weymouth, and many extended family members, colleagues and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
