Louise Ann (Alzapiedi) Safran

Louise Ann (Alzapiedi) Safran of New York and North Weymouth, passed peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Louise was born in Clinton, Massachusetts on July 22, 1932, and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kerrigan) Alzapiedi. She was raised in Hudson and attended local schools.

Louise was known for her intelligence, kindness, and zest for life. A true renaissance woman, Louise’s life was a rich tapestry woven with passion, creativity, and service to others. In her youth, she trained in ballet and gymnastics. She danced professionally at the legendary Copacabana. Her love for the arts would remain a defining thread throughout her life. She later worked as a wardrobe assistant at CBS and in theatrical circles around New York, ensuring every performer looked their best.

Louise had a deep appreciation for the theater—her favorite show was Guys and Dolls—and she never passed up the chance to experience a live performance. She was a lover of jazz music and vocals, and she often filled her home with music.

Her greatest professional calling came through her work in nutrition. Alongside her husband, Charlie, they built a successful health and wellness business through Shaklee Corporation, where her passion for helping people thrive found a perfect home. She was a lifelong learner and avid researcher, constantly seeking knowledge to better serve those she mentored. Her dedication to health and her caring spirit inspired all who worked with her. She was devoted to helping others grow their businesses and guide them toward healthier lives.

Louise believed in people—in their potential, their strength, and their worth—and spent her life lifting others up. Whether through a conversation, a piece of advice, or a shared laugh, Louise made people feel truly seen and supported.

She also enjoyed painting, reading, and diving into new ideas. Her mind was always at work, exploring and creating, with an insatiable curiosity that never dimmed. Her legacy lives on in every life she touched.

Louise was the beloved wife of the late Charles Safran, with whom she shared many loving years. She was the devoted mother of Kerrie A. Safran of Weymouth and Judy Safran-Aasen and her spouse Jerry of Bothell, Washington. Louise was the loving grandmother of Olivia Aasen, Jerome Aasen and his spouse Taryn, and Jacie Aasen Lupino and her spouse Travis. She was the sister of John Sanderson and his spouse Jennifer of Medfield and Bob Seward of Boston. Linda Brown, her dear cousin, formerly of Hudson, MA. Louise is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and life long friends.
