Maksim Simeon

Maksim Simeon, a longtime resident of Braintree, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, June 26, 2025, after a brief but valiant battle against cancer. He was 68.

He was born in Korce, Albania to Aleksandra and Jordan Simeon. His passion was to become an electrician. Working the trade helped him to develop many skills and he became somewhat of a jack of all trades. He enjoyed helping his family and friends with any and all home projects. In 2002, Maksim, his wife Vasilika and their two children, Joana and Antonio, moved to the United States. They settled in Braintree where they would call home.

In his spare time, Maksim loved to socialize with his friends and family. He was one of those people that could carry on a meaningful conversation whether you were 9 or 90. He truly loved people, and they loved him. At home he was an avid Boston sports fan and often watched the Celtics or Bruins. He could also be found making homemade wine or fishing.

Maksim had a quiet strength and resilience that translated in his work ethic. He was retired for a year, sick and still managed to keep working and helping those he loved. Despite the adversity he was dealt in life, he never complained and was even able to make jokes and have an amazing sense of humor. His support and care will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

Beloved husband of 37 years to Vasilika Simeon (Opari) of Braintree. Devoted father to Joana Simeon and her partner Peter Kristof of Braintree and Antonio Simeon and his wife Lesly of NY. Also survived by his niece Donika Jazxhi and cousin Sofika Turtulli. Predeceased by his parents, Aleksandra and Jordan Simeon and siblings, Dhimitri Simeon and Lirika Jorgji.
