In Loving Memory of Maria M. Simo
Maria M. Simo, 86, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 23, 1939, in Miches, Dominican Republic, to the late Luis A. Simo and Julia Martir.
In 1985, Maria immigrated to the United States with her beloved son, Hector Luis Jimenez, in search of new opportunities and a brighter future for her family. Through hard work, determination, and an unwavering faith, she built a life centered on service, compassion, and love.
Maria dedicated 25 years of her career to ABCD Head Start, where she served as a Teacher and Special Needs Supervisor. She touched the lives of countless children and families with her patience, kindness, and commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
A woman of deep faith, Maria found great joy in attending church, caring for her beloved birds, and spending time with the people she loved most. She was always willing to help anyone in need and will be remembered for her generous heart, gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering compassion.
Maria is survived by her loving son, Hector Luis Jimenez, and her four cherished grandchildren, Haylie, Zaydrian, Davian, and Zaniah, who were the light of her life. She adored each of them and leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, kindness, and strength that they will carry with them always.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Maria’s life was one of purpose, faith, and selfless love. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former colleagues, and all whose lives she touched.
Burial services will be held at: New Calvary Cemetery in Boston.
Services will be private.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
