Marianne Kast

Kast, Marianne (Breen) of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died November 30, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Charles and Rita Breen. Beloved wife of Stephen Kast of Quincy. Loving sister of Michael Breen and his wife Mary of Quincy, Carolyn Gillis and her husband Tim of Quincy, Janet Scarafone and husband John of Carver, and the late Charles Jr. and Joseph Breen. A gentle soul, “Auntie Mar” was adored by her many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Cherished sister in law of Tina Breen and Linda Lombari.

Marianne loved her family and spoiling her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending summers in Hull. Marianne was a longtime employee of the Boston Home in Dorchester and had such compassion for the patients with MS. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 12/9/2025 from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday 12/10/2025 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marianne may be made to the National MS Society, PO Box 91891, Washington, D.C. 20090.
