Marie F. Hemingway

Hemingway, Marie  F. (Nielsen) of Hingham, formerly of Dorchester and Weymouth, at 101, passed away peacefully in her sleep, September 26, 2014.

Beloved wife of the late Cyril W. Hemingway.  Loving mother of Nancy Barton of Florida, Stuart Hemingway  and his wife Carolyn of Cotuit, Janice Sterling of Florida and Fredrik Hemingway and his wife Debra of Weymouth.  Dear sister of the late Margaret Campbell and Elinor Wright. Marie is also loving survived by 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Born and raised in Dorchester she was a proud mother who devoted her life to raising her children. She loved spending time with all her beautiful grandchildren. Marie’s favorite hobby was painting.  

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. 

At the family’s request, all services will be private.
