Marie Elena Fraser, age 72, passed away on May 6th, 2025, in Ringoes, New Jersey. Born on May 17th, 1952, in Weymouth and raised in Rockland, Massachusetts. Marie lived a life marked by devotion to her family and a sharp sense of humor that brought joy to those around her.
Throughout her life, Marie was known for her unwavering dedication to her loved ones. She met Ernie Fraser at the young age of 18, they married and went on to have 3 daughters. They raised their family south of Boston, where Marie lived the majority of her life until Ernie’s passing, before enjoying the last few years with her daughter in New Jersey. Her role as a mother and grandmother was central to her identity, and she took immense pride in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
In a world where self-interest often prevails, Marie stood out as a beacon of selflessness and compassion. Her unwavering dedication to her family, through countless acts of kindness and everyday generosity, left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Marie exemplified the true spirit of love, always placing the needs of her loved ones above her own. Marie was always there to lend an ear. Her legacy of devotion and care will forever be cherished and remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Denise Jacobson and her husband Christian, Loriann Fraser and partner Rey Becerril, and Patricia Fraser and fiancee Tom Baumann. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Allison, Christian, Nathan, Julianna, Emma, Braelynn, and Kariann.
Marie was predeceased by her husband Ernie Fraser, parents John and Marjorie Hirtle, and her siblings Kathy Cwik, Barbara Bennett, Jack Hirtle and Kevin Hirtle. Marie is survived by her sister Paula Hennessey, and her brothers Tim Hirtle, Peter Hirtle and his wife Ruth.
Marie’s quick wit was one of her most cherished qualities. Whether offering a clever remark or lightening the mood with humor, she had a gift for making others smile. Those who knew her will remember her not only for her warmth but also the laughter she inspired.
May Marie’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 5/15/2025 from 10-11 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy followed by a funeral home service at 11:00 AM.
